{ Metropolitan Home Magazine }

So what would you like to hear first, the good news or the bad news? How about we start with the good news...

GOOD NEWS: Remember how I work for THIS guy now? Well Jonathan Adler's gorgeous Chippendale Arm Chair made it on the front cover of the December 2009 issue of Metropolitan Home. Isn't it gorgeous! Wouldn't you just love to have a set of 10 around THIS dining table? Oh how I covet thee, beautiful Zephyr table with perfectly polished carrera marble top!

BAD NEWS: Metropolitan Home will cease publication with its December issue, the latest home decor magazine to succumb to the industry's advertising slump. Why must all good things come to an end? Be sure to grab a copy of the last issue before they're gone forever.

:: Big Bear 2009 ::

Big Bear 2009 was soooo much fun this year! My old roommate Katie's aunt loaned her Big Bear cabin to 15 of our closest friends and gave us full reign of the boats, seadoo, kayaks, and whatever else we could get our hands on! I thought there was no way we could top last year's Big Bear 2008, but somehow Katie and the ladies managed to pull off another incredible mountain adventure. Enjoy some of my favorite pics from our trip...

{ My Shade Of Grey }

Last week my Mummy and I snuck away to Nails By Holly, my favorite little nail place in the whole wide world. If you grew up in south orange county, you know what I'm talking about. They're simply the BEST!

Anyway, I tried a new polish color that I thought I'd gush about. It's called "Moon Over Mumbai" by OPI, my fave! It's the most romantic shade of soft moonlit grey and looks amazing on everyone! Have some fun with grey. You'll love it!

:: Thanksgiving Day 2009 ::

It was a beautiful Thanksgiving Day in San Clemente! A gorgeous 80 degrees. Perfect weather for a little turkey dinner on the patio with the cuzzies. I love me some turkey and mashed potatoes at Grandma & Grandpas house. Hope you all had a fabulous holiday!

:: Dana Point Turkey Trot 2009 ::

What a beautiful morning for a run! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. This morning I dragged my siblings out of bed early to participate in the long-running tradition (no pun intended) known as the Dana Point Turkey Trot. I've been religiously trotting like a turkey every Thanksgiving Day since my sophomore year of High School and wouldn't miss it for the world. Well except those 2 years I was away in Canada on my mission, and well, that one year when I was unjustifiable out of shape and refused to put my flabby thighs in a pair of running shorts, but I digress.

The Dana Point Turkey Trot, one of America's most scenic coastal runs, brings in thousands of participants every year for the 10K, 5K, and Kid's Fun Run. This year was no exception! The siblings and I joined in with over 12,000 runners as we made our way through the picturesque harbor.

The first finisher of the siblings was of course Scotty who greeted Kellie and I across the finish line. I'm not going to share my time for fear of embarrassment, but I will say that I ran the entire time. I know, I'm pretty proud of myself. But enough with the running...it's time to head down to San Clemente for a Thanksgiving feast. I can't wait to gnaw on some turkey and gravy! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

{ The Story of the Tuesday Tools }

Once upon a Tuesday night there were 2 tools stopped at a red light. Both tools looked to their left to see a lonely girl on her way home from a long day at work. Like most tools, they desired to show off their raging level of testosterone and impress the girl with their stallions of steel.

Tool #1 looked over at tool #2 as he revved his outdated '92 BMW 3 Series engine and brushed the man-bangs from his brow. Tool #2 responded to tool #1's egotistical challenge with a much louder rev of his '98 Porsche Boxster engine and flipped the collar of his white Alligator polo. Meanwhile, the girl to the left in the shiny C230 pretended to ignore them both.

When the light turned green, the tools shifted into gear and took off racing down the coast. Their haughty confidence egged them on as they sped along the dark stretch of highway. Then, like a fury of fire, the girl in the C230 came out of nowhere, leaving the tools choking on her cloud of dust. And the girl on the left, who was obviously very "right" about the tools, drove the rest of the way home happily ever after. The End.
